The accident. (Part 1)

It had been 3 days since Jessa walked out on Safaree. He was still emotional and hurt. Everytime Nicki asked what happened between them, Safaree wouldn't answer or he would lie about it. But Nicki was smarter than that, she knew he was lying about the real story. And Safaree NEVER lies to Nicki, they tell eachother everything..so she immdiately knew something was up. That morning, Nicki walked downstairs to see Safaree playing on his phone while sitting on the couch. She sat herself next to him, but not too close.
"Safaree, I need to talk to you." Nicki said in an almost whispering tone.
"Ok, what's up?" He replied, trying to sound like everything was fine..but Nicki knew it wasn't.
"What happened with you and Jessa? What REALLY happened."
Safaree noticed the look on her face. He knew that Nicki knows when he lies, but he didn't want to tell her the real reason. He didn't want to get in the way of her relationship with Drake..and if he told her, that's excatly what woud happened.
"I already told you Nic, we just got in a fight because I don't see her enough, and she got mad and walked out."
Nicki grabbed the remote, turned off the TV, and slammed it back on the coffee table. She was getting angry that Safaree was continously lying to her about what happened.
"Safaree? Do you think I'm stupid? Seriously? I know something happened, and I know your not telling the truth. We don't lie to eachother Safaree, we tell eachother everything. Why are you hiding this from me? We are bestfriends!!" at this point Nicki was screaming at Safaree.
"NICKI JUST STOP. SOME THINGS I DON'T TELL YOU FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. SO JUST STOP."
Nicki was so angry, you could hear her heart pumping in her chest. And she wasn't giving up until she got her answer.
"THIS IS BULLSHIT SAFAREE, I DESERVE TO KNOW. WHAT HAPPENED THAT WAS SO BAD THAT YOU CAN'T EVEN TELL ME?"
Safaree knew at this point that if he wasn't honest, it would only get worse. He took a deep breathe and turned himself away from Nicki.
"You." He said in a calm voice. In those 3 letters, Nicki could tell he was spilling the truth.
"Me? What did I do?" she said with attitude, confused on how she affected the relationship.
"You did nothing. Jessa..." SB swallowed his spit and wiped his tears that started rolling down his face as he continued the sentence. "Jessa saw the way I looked at you and she knew."
Nicki started calming down once she realized SB was opening up to her. "Knew what?" she asked with guilt in her voice.
"That I was still in love with you."
The room immdiately got quiet, all you could hear was Safaree's sobs. Nicki was speechless. Safaree turned back to Nicki and continued confessing.
"Never stopped loving you Nic, I just learned how to control it and put our friendship first. But Jessa..she could see right through me. She felt like she had to share me and she wasn't okay with that. It's something that will never stop..my love for you will never stop"
Safaree grabbed his keys and walked out of the condo crying. Nicki felt horrible. She ruined Safaree's relationship without even trying. And she didn't know what to do. She waited about 5 minutes before leaving her house, then grabbed her keys, threw on a hat, and drove to Drake's.
Once she got to Drake's, she was already crying from the guilt she felt. She knocked on his door and after waiting for few minutes, he finally answered. But before he could say anything, Nicki noticed another woman sitting on Drake's couch.
"Nic why are you crying?" He asked while moving closer. She didn't want to make a scene in front of this random girl, but she was VERY irritated at the fact that Drake had a girl alone in his condo without telling Nicki ahead of time, no matter who she was.
Drake closed the door behind him, he was standing outside with Nicki while the girl was waiting in the condo.
"Who is she?" Nicki asked.
"She's a friend of mine from way back in the day. She is in town and visiting. But why are you crying Nic? Talk to me"
Nicki knew when Drake was lying, and she knew that girl wasn't just a 'friend' of Drake's.
"Just a friend? Okay Drake, and what do you think I am? An idiot?"
Drake looked at Nicki and wiped the tears.
"Okay, my ex-girlfriend. But it's not like that anymore Nic."
"If you bring an ex-girlfriend into your house and don't tell me, and she KNOWS you have a girlfriend and still continues to hit you up..then it's still 'like that' Drake. I gotta go."
Nicki backed away and she stormed to her car and drove off. She kept calling Safaree while crying even harder. But he wouldn't answer his phone and she didn't want to be at the condo alone. The 2 people she always relied on weren't there for the first time. She drove for hours thinking and crying and writing new lyrics because her feelings were taking her over. It was 11:30 and she finally decided to head back to the condo to get some sleep, hoping SB was there. As soon as she walked in, she noticed the condo was empty. She started to get worried where SB was, but she knew he needed the time alone. She changed into one of his baggy shirts and sat on the couch at wait up for him. About 10 minutes later, the house phone rang. Which is very rare because nobody has the house phone number except family or important people to Nicki and SB. She ran over and picked up the phone.
"Hello?" she said in a confused tone.
"Hello. Is the the residance of Safaree Samuels?"
"Yes it is, but he is not here right now. May I ask who is calling?"
"This is the LA police. Is this Ms.Minaj?"
"Yes??" Nicki soon became worried and scared.
"Um Safaree Samuels got in a major car accident. We have him in the emergency room and..."
Nicki hung up the phone before the police man could finish the sentence. She threw on sweats and a hoodie and grabbed her phone and keys and headed straight to the LA Hospital, praying that her bestfriend was okay, and alive.
